The inspiration of this piece sparked when I found a hawk feather laying in a field.  As I picked it out of the grass I thought to myself "I wonder what kind of a journey it has been on?"  I imagined it being on a strong hawk, who soared securely through the days with an attentive focus.

I utilized the hawk feather to create the white highlight in the eye of the hawk and used it to add circular dot details that invite you to look closely for their discovery.
