BRIANA FITZPATRICK

Briana’s passion for art began at the age of 2yrs old when she watched her older sister perform dance on stage and she told her mom she wanted to do that. So her mom signed her up for dance lessons and she hasn’t stopped dancing since.  Growing up her passions expanded into other art forms such as gymnastics, archery, martial arts, Olympic Style marksmanship, and aerial arts.  However it wasn’t until she was 13yrs old when a spark ignited in her, that made her realize she wanted to pursue her passion for dance.  At the age of 17 she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, performing for a professional dance company until an injury caused her to return to her hometown in NY for surgery.  She didn’t let her injury hold her back as she continued to pursue her dance career after her recovery. She was achieving her goals as she auditioned and got into Cirque Du Soleil’s database for dancers right before the worldwide lockdown happened. Then the performing arts industry was shut down, leaving Briana feeling uncertain of what to do next.  Until she rediscovered her purpose and love for art in a new light.

Briana has found herself currently embarked on a journey to discover how to coalesce various art disciplines (such as dance, contortion, gymnastics, archery, and martial arts) to create paintings that convey the beauty of movement and the essence of light.  Through her artwork, she explores the themes of liveliness, boldness, and freedom.  Her paintings are a whisper of heart, soul & imagination, inviting you to explore and discover hidden details.

“When you view my art, I hope for you to feel inspired to embrace your inner light and live your life wholeheartedly with passion doing what you love most.” -Briana Fitzpatrick

Now Briana continues to enhance her unique style and push the boundaries of incorporating multiple art forms to shine more light and inspiration in this world. She currently creates a majority of her work from her hometown in New York as she is converting a school bus into her tiny mobile home along with the help of her loving dad.
